{"id":10689,"date":"2022-11-28T12:16:26","date_gmt":"2022-11-28T11:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/?p=10689"},"modified":"2022-11-28T18:15:41","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T17:15:41","slug":"godi-the-incomparable-aperitif-with-the-best-of-the-euganean-hills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/en\/gastronomy\/godi-the-incomparable-aperitif-with-the-best-of-the-euganean-hills\/","title":{"rendered":"God\u00ec: the incomparable aperitif with the best of the Euganean Hills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the heart of the Euganean Hills comes a special aperitif, which can only be tasted in our area and which is made with &#8220;0 km&#8221; products. <\/span><b>At the Hotel Tritone, the focus on local products is always very intense<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so this initiative was embraced in its entirety, from concept to realisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The birth of God\u00ec, the Euganean Hills aperitif<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project was conceived by the <\/span><b>Abano Terme branch of Ascom Confcommercio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the support of <\/span><b>Venicepromex<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>municipality of Abano Terme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In addition, the initiative involved the A.B.I. Professional (the Italian Professional Barmen&#8217;s Association), A.M.I.R.A. (the local Ma\u00eetre Association) and the Euganean Spa Chefs&#8217; Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The starting point was a series of proposals made by experts from the <\/span><b>Professional Barmen&#8217;s Association<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and other technical evaluators. At the end of these tests, three aperitifs were determined to have equal merit and thus went through to the final stage. On 4 June 2022, the <\/span><b>jury<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> decided which of the three would be designated as the Aperitivo dei Colli Euganei (Aperitif of the Euganean Hills). Subsequently, a <\/span><b>social media campaign began to choose a name<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, starting with three options (Jub\u00e8, Euganeus and God\u00ec), at the end of which God\u00ec, representing the &#8220;pleasure of life&#8221;, won.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final phase planned by the creators of the initiative saw the launch of some compulsory <\/span><b>training sessions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on how to serve the aperitif, which were useful to understand the details of its creation and how to talk about the project. This is all thanks to the extraordinary nature of this <\/span><b>area of volcanic origin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Antico, the fruit of Luxardo&#8217;s craftsmanship<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The historic company based in Torreglia began back in 1821 with the production of Rosolio Maraschino. &#8220;Antico&#8221; is obtained by infusing the <\/span><b>juice of marasca cherries matured in oak vats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enriched with carefully chosen herbs and spices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Luxardo Bitter Bianco, perfect for aroma and colour<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The starting point for this bitter is the same as for the classic red bitter. What makes it special is the blending process, which turns the product <\/span><b>ivory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in colour, and an infusion of Roman <\/span><b>wormwood<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which enhances its bitter taste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Laurus Nobilis, the exquisite rarity from the Ristorante La Montanella<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This liqueur is the brainchild of Biancarosa, a central figure in the kitchen of Ristorante La Montanella. Starting with the story that attributes the invention of Rosolio to the physician Michele Savonarola, Biancarosa invented the liqueur &#8220;Laurus Nobilis&#8221; (the botanical name for the bay tree), which is made from the infusion of bay or <\/span><b>laurel berries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Brodo di Arqu\u00e0 Petrarca from Azienda Agricola Scarpon<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brodo di Arqu\u00e0 is also an original liqueur, distinguished by its characteristic sweet flavour and intense aroma.
