There are places in the world that are to be explored at a leisurely pace in order to take in the most pristine and sublime beauty. One of these places is \u00a0the Hotel Tritone park <\/strong>, a lush oasis dotted with iridescent colours. By sinking their feet into the soft fresh grass, intoxicated with the scent of so many flowers, the guests at our hotel can rediscover the \u00a0authentic serenity <\/strong>\u00a0that comes from contact with nature.<\/p>\n

THE GREEN AREA AT HOTEL TRITONE: CONSTANT CARE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An outstanding park requires exceptional maintenance: like a relationship, this requires give and take.\u00a0\u00a0 It is the love of nature that motivates the care of plants.<\/p>\n

The two Hotel Tritone gardeners <\/strong>work hard all year round, especially from March to November. Moved by an ancestral passion, and directed by \u00a0General Manager Walter Poli,<\/strong>\u00a0the two experts take care of every plant in the garden, including shrubs, flowers and large trees.<\/p>\n

The park, which covers an area of \u00a030,000 square meters, surrounds <\/strong>the hotel in shades of emerald, gold and ruby. Since the foundation of the entire compound, the garden has been developed on every side and, over the years, it has expanded.<\/p>\n

As the hotel’s General Manager explained in a recent interview<\/a>, the size of the park has never been reduced: in carrying out periodic renovations, the Poli family purchased additional land to accommodate new parking areas and a swimming pool, and kept the park intact.<\/p>\n

\u00a0A HUNDRED-YEAR-OLD TREE AND PLANTS THAT HAVE GROWN ALONGSIDE THE HOTEL<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In walking through the park and discovering its gems, you will find the oldest plant in this oasis: an \u00a0olive tree that is over a hundred years old and\u00a0 is part of the history of Hotel Tritone. <\/strong>\u00a0Every spring the gardeners take care of the tree’s foliage, and continually check its state of health.<\/p>\n

The intensely fragrant oleander<\/strong> has blossomed for over 50 years <\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0in front of the large windows overlooking the garden, while the cork oak <\/strong>has stood majestically among the maritime pines and the diksonia for \u00a0over 35 years. <\/strong><\/p>\n

And, offering the relief of a little shade on the hottest days, tall trees like magnolias, cedars and yews <\/strong>come to the rescue. There are also a great many\u00a0palm trees<\/strong>\u00a0that add joy to the green setting of Hotel Tritone, and just as many laurel <\/strong>bushes which mark the boundary of the large park.<\/p>\n

SHRUBS, HEDGES AND PLANTS IN POTS: AN UNMISSABLE TRIPUDIUM OF LEAVES AND BRANCHES<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Of tropical origins is \u00a0the South East Asian alocasia plant, <\/strong>nicknamed “elephant ears” because its large leaves resemble the ears of this large mammal. This plant is grown in pots in our hotel, so that it spends every winter in the warmth of our large interior spaces.<\/p>\n

Among our outstanding shrubs are the pittosporum<\/strong>, an evergreen plant that our gardeners love to prune into creative shapes, and the boxwood <\/strong>which acts as a border hedge in some parts of the garden.<\/p>\n

The convallaria <\/strong>and the myrtle <\/strong>also inhabit large areas, contributing to the vast numbers of different green shades that can be counted in the Hotel Tritone park.<\/p>\n

AN EXPLOSION OF COLOURS AND SCENTS: THE PARK FLOWERS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Guests who have the bonus of staying at our hotel in the spring and summer months can also enjoy the flowers that colour the garden.<\/p>\n

The hydrangeas <\/strong>bloom in April, creating blue and purple bushes; May is the month of pink<\/strong>, painting diverse parts of the park in brilliant shades. For many months guests can admire the intense violet of the \u00a0iris, <\/strong>while the pure white flowers of the iberis<\/strong>\u00a0are among the first to bloom.<\/p>\n

The \u00a0hemerocallis <\/strong>is tenacious: its “golden star” flowers are among the longest lasting in terms of flowering because they can be admired from April until the first cold days of autumn.<\/p>\n

Another feast for the eyes are the flowers of the bougainvillea, a plant which is native to tropical areas, and which takes its name from the commander who led the expedition during which the first bougainvillea was discovered.<\/p>\n

Finally, we must make mention of the \u00a0lagerstroemia, <\/strong>\u00a0a plant whose flowers are paintings that show off the most intense shades of pink, red and purple.<\/p>\n
