Hotel Tritone guests can book their bikes at the reception desk and then collect and return them at the Hotel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fifth chapter in the &#8220;Viaggi Euganei&#8221; (Euganean Journeys) series takes you not far from the Hotel, on an easy route with great historical value. The destination, in fact, is the <\/span><b>archaeological area of Terme Euganee<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, located in the Montegrotto Terme area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The journey through history begins at the Hotel and immediately crosses the <\/span><b>Parco Urbano Termale Abano<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the energetic green heart of the city. Moving from green space to green space, you reach the <\/span><b>Montirone gardens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which \u2014 contrary to appearances \u2014 don&#8217;t actually date back to Roman times. The gable of Corinthian-style columns was created in the early 20th century by Venetian architect Giuseppe Jappelli.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>The welcoming sanctuary of Monteortone<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7835\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Santuario della Madonna Monteortone\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone-570x321.jpg 570w, https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/santuarioMonteorone.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continue out of the city centre to reach the Santuario del Monteortone along the street of the same name, and then the via del Santuario.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Santuario della Madonna della Salute<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is located next to the Monteortone, and is solemnly visible as it sits higher than the road. The Baroque fa\u00e7ade and Gothic-style bell tower invite you to enter the building to discover the large <\/span><b>fresco by Jacopo da Montagnana<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that decorates the apse, which is bounded at the top by a cross vault.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>The Monastero di San Daniele and its rarities<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of the visit, continue along the same road and turn into the via S. Daniele, whose name announces the next destination: the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/en\/territory\/the-monastery-of-san-daniele-pearl-of-the-euganean-hills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monastero di San Daniele<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Perched on the summit of the mountain of the same name, this place of worship is run by a small <\/span><b>community of Benedictine nuns<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A restorative break could also be an opportunity to cross the threshold of the <\/span><b>church<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, rebuilt in 1711, and to see the statues and bas-reliefs by Antonio Corradini. In the rooms of the <\/span><b>former villa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is part of the majestic complex, you can also see coffered ceilings, floors with geometric designs, and a Murano glass gate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Villa Draghi: a piece of Venice in Montegrotto<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The journey continues by turning slightly back onto the San Daniele road and taking the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Euganean Hills ring cycle path (the first route featured in the series, which you can <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.termetritone.it\/en\/territory\/euganean-hills-ring-the-tour-of-wonders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">find here<\/a>)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Follow it in the direction of Montegrotto until you come to Villa Draghi. The building, which <\/span><b>was inspired by the Doge&#8217;s Palace in Venice<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, was rebuilt in the mid-19th century and includes the <\/span><b>Museo Internazionale del Vetro d&#8217;Arte e delle Terme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which displays objects of great artistic value made by the most famous Murano glassmakers. Leaving the cycle path and following the strada provinciale 63 (via Catajo), we reach the excavations of Via Neroniana, where the remains of a sumptuous <\/span><b>Roman villa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and an extraordinary <\/span><b>spa complex<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> take us back to the beginning of the first century AD.
