Conversing with Lesia, guardian of the thermal pools at Hotel Tritone

Lesia is known to all frequenters of the thermal pools at Hotel Tritone. In addition to assisting guests in the pool, she is a person who has totally grasped the philosophy of the hotel and works with the aim of making all guests feel good.

LESIA, INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW YOU.

My name is Lesia, I am 44 years old and from Ukraine.

CAN YOU TELL US YOUR STORY?

I arrived in Italy in 2008 and was a carer for a few years.

Then I started working for a cooperative in Merano as a housekeeper. During the Covid period I gave up the hotel business and went back to being a maid. Once the emergency was over, I applied for a job at Tritone and for an initial period I was a waitress. Finally the lifeguard position at the swimming pool opened up and here I am, having obtained my lifeguard licence.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AND WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN TASKS? 

I do pool surveillance and prevention. I also take care of the Arquà Petrarca Sauna Centre, collaborating with two other colleagues.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED AT TRITONE? 

I have been here since March 2022.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR WORK? 

I have a strong organisational spirit that allows me to manage my work autonomously, always following management guidelines. I also enjoy being in contact with people, I have fun. The pool team is very close, we help each other.

AMONG YOUR TASKS AND ACTIVITIES, WHAT ARE THE DETAILS THAT MAKE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIAL? 

What I like most is keeping the chlorine parameters under control because it is important for the customers. They know they are entering safe and controlled water, in every sense.

IF YOU HAD TO DESCRIBE TRITONE IN ONE WORD, WHAT WOULD IT BE? 

Family.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? 

I go swimming, read and learn about current affairs, especially about my country which is now at war.

IF YOU WERE A TRITONE CUSTOMER ONE DAY, WHICH SERVICE/TREATMENT WOULD YOU TRY FIRST? 

A four-hand Thai massage, absolutely. That would be the first thing.

HOW DO YOU SEE TRITONE? 

The hotel is always fully booked and guests are happy. The outlook seems to be very good.

WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE CHOOSE THE HOTEL TRITONE? 

Because of the quality of the service, because they enjoy it and because we renew every year.

CAN YOU TELL US AN EPISODE IN WHICH YOU FELT PART OF THE TRITONE TEAM? 

My co-workers always make me feel special and important to them.

WHAT WILL TRITONE BE LIKE IN 10 YEARS? 

Increasingly attractive and more luxurious. This is because, as mentioned before, every year different novelties are offered to customers.
