Like everything special, Christmas is one of the holidays most eagerly awaited by people of all ages throughout the western world. One just needs to admire the first lights on the bitter December nights; to let oneself be cheered by the comforting melody of “Silent Night”; or to enjoy the scent of the pine garlands, to feel an ever-stronger desire to celebrate Christmas.

The result of this growing expectation is the magic that is created, a spontaneous atmosphere that comes from the depths of the soul, bringing us closer to the deep sense of Christmas and softening even the most hard-edged personalities. This is the energy we want Guests of the Hotel Tritone to feel, from the moment we start decorating the Hotel to celebrate the Nativity. The aim is not to impress, nor to flaunt the rich details of our decor. Instead, our idea is to create a special atmosphere that promotes a feeling of joy and tranquillity. Only those who have stayed here know what they have really experienced.

The whole staff is deeply committed to this goal from the first days of November, dedicating themselves to every room with love, precisely because the magic of Christmas must reign supreme in all the spaces of the Hotel.

DECORATIONS IN THE HOTEL SPACES

Our housekeeper, Lisa Bezzon, is mainly in charge of the interiors, under the guidance of Dr Walter Poli.

The Hotel Tritone is famous for the illuminations – like golden threads – that cover the façade from the ground floor to the seventh floor, and then follow one another in a stunning shimmer along the perimeter between the garden and the street. Outside too there are numerous Christmas trees, also sparkling and enchanting.

As already mentioned, the crib is the result of the hard work of Dr Walter Poli and the gardeners who make this representation “come alive”, so much so as to recreate highly realistic everyday scenes in miniature.

Inside the Hotel, every space, from the bar area to the treatment department, up to the new Arquà Petrarca Spa, features decorations in different colour combinations: red and silver, antique pink and gold, white and silver and bronze and gold. The inimitable charm of Christmas is underlined by the golden shades that dominate every corner of the property.

At reception, a mountain atmosphere prevails: here the animals of the forest peep out, among pine garlands and packages that recall traditional gifts. Santa Claus with his bags full of gifts cannot be missed.

Surprise is part of this long-awaited celebration and therefore we will not reveal what awaits Guests in the rooms they have booked. Every room and every suite are carefully decorated to be part of the enchantment that pervades all our spaces.

CHRISTMAS IN SAFETY: ALL THE EVENTS

This is an ideal occasion to underline once again that it is precisely our spaces, which we call Extra-Large, that allow us to celebrate Christmas in compliance with all the distancing rules established for this period, and to guarantee the safety of all the Guests and the Staff. We will certainly not be able to exchange affectionate greetings but we will still be able to enjoy the festivities with the usual dinners, lunches prepared with attention to the smallest detail, and theme evenings.

In this regard, we remind you of all the events planned for these festivities:

• Christmas Eve Gala Dinner;
• Aperitif and Christmas Lunch, the latter featuring the traditional entrance of two unusual Santas who will give each guest a welcome gift;
• Boxing Day Lunch;
• New Year’s Eve Dinner;
• New Year’s Day Lunch;
• Epiphany Dinner, during which the old witch Befana herself will deliver stockings with delicious contents to all guests.

Each event will be an opportunity to taste dishes from our kitchen, prepared to create a balance between traditional flavours and innovative aromas, as well as to enjoy the Christmas cakes made in the Hotel’s pâtisserie.
