Summer 2020: the calm re-start at the Hotel Tritone

Starting with our General Manager Dr Walter Poli and passing through every area of our hospitality, all the key figures of the Hotel Tritone agree that – despite the obvious difficulties and efforts required – the summer re-start is smooth and tranquil. “Everything working as normal” has been repeated by many people, as if to underline that the safety protocols, the behaviour that Guests and Personnel are required to respect, the distance that could be perceived as aloofness or discourtesy, have on the contrary become a normality that does not alter the pleasure of the holiday.

DR WALTER POLI – GENERAL MANAGER

We are experiencing the re-start of the Hotel Tritone with great confidence, because we have prepared meticulously. We have prepared very strict and detailed protocols (see our Safe Welcome Programme), which guide the staff in the disinfection and sterilisation of all rooms, especially the rooms which are the most intimate part of the hotel for the guests. There is much attention to all touch points: handles, remote controls, bedside tables, bathrooms themselves.

We have also set up our own Internal Supervisory Committee in which all department heads are responsible for ensuring that all procedures are followed by each employee in the smallest detail.

We started this year in a very positive and enthusiastic way, having received our Fifth Star, and then we had to close. We maintained the same enthusiasm for the re-opening on 5 June, which gave us great satisfaction. Guests asked us via email if we were well and when we re-opened, they wanted to come back and resume life as normal.

What plays to our advantage is definitely the amount of space: very large areas, which we call XL. Grounds of 40,000 square metres, a restaurant and a bar each of 700 square metres… These are large places where it is easy to ensure distancing. The 1,000-square-metre swimming pools provide everyone with their own corner of privacy.

I can see that the Guests are not nervous. I don’t see them stepping backwards – rather stepping forwards. Sometimes we are the ones who have to withdraw our hands, which might almost seem rude… I see that there is calm and tranquillity. This is what gives us even more strength and energy to move forward and face the future.

 

LUIGI FACCIOTTI – EXECUTIVE CHEF

This period has gone very well. We have had very good attendances. We’ve got off to a good start, with new customers.

Customer safety is fully guaranteed. There is daily cleaning: in the morning before entering the kitchen, in the afternoon during the break, and in the evening after finishing. Sanitising is done three times a day.

I think that Guests can come to us with confidence, because they will find an excellent kitchen, a great environment, security, cleaning, and special tailor-made attention. The kitchen is offering the best of its potential.

 

ANILA PALOKA – HEAD OF TREATMENT DEPARTMENT

We’re re-starting well. We are doing our utmost to ensure customers’ safety; we disinfect all spaces and environments, we have the sanitiser and each operator wears a mask and follows the protocols.

During this period, clients are requesting mud, therapeutic and anti-stress massages, physiotherapy and also beauty treatments, as usual. Our Guests can safely return, receive treatment and be safe, because here at the Hotel Tritone there are no risks.

 

DAIANA VREME – HEAD BARTENDER

We’re going through this period at the Tritone Hotel as normal. Calmly. With more attention to sanitising every single table.

The customers are very relaxed – they come to the bar, they chat, they don’t make any particular demands. There are no unusual requests. For example, the favourite cocktails of the period are Gin and Tonic, Dry Martini and Mojito, exactly as usual.

STEFANO FERRARI – MAÎTRE D’HÔTEL

This period of re-starting the restaurant is going very well, not least because we see our regular customers coming back and this makes us very pleased. We are very happy – we have started again safely, respecting the rules but without disrupting anything. I don’t get any special requests, everything seems to be normal. The atmosphere is sociable and friendly.

The safety of the customer in the restaurant has been planned in advance with training courses in which they explained to us well what to do and what not to do. We use masks, and there is constant and continual sanitising. There’s no problem, no risk. Guests can come, we are super relaxed: the best thing is seeing each other again.

LISA BEZZON – HOUSEKEEPER

We are experiencing this re-start at the Hotel Tritone with great optimism. Let’s give it our all. My job is to oversee the cleaning of the rooms. We enter right into the intimacy of the Guests.

We guarantee the safety of our guests because we are trained. We took a course and received guidelines for room sanitising.

The room is thoroughly cleaned between one guest and another: when the guest arrives they find the room perfectly clean, because it is disinfected and sanitised according to all the rules. And when the Guest is here, we clean and sanitise the room once a day.

Guests can come with confidence: we are prepared, the environment is safe, we are calm. We will transmit our calm – and the pleasure of living at the Hotel Tritone for a unique holiday.

LUCA SENSOLO – FRONT DESK MANAGER

Guests are experiencing this period with particular relaxation. Other than the masks we’re wearing, nothing has changed at the Hotel Tritone. Everything’s fine, as always. The services are up and running and we are constantly increasing our number of visitors, confirming the good work we are doing.

The safety of Guests in this particular period is guaranteed by the professionalism of the team and the attention to cleanliness that always makes us stand out. Each one of us has been specially and thoroughly trained in prevention and protection techniques, both personally and towards Guests.
